We are currently seeking a full-time Phlebotomy Quality Specialist interested in joining a high-growth stage startup. The mandate of the Phlebotomy Quality Specialist is simple but challenging: assist with quality oversight in multiple markets across North America. 

The Phlebotomy Quality Specialist must be a self-starter who is resourceful and comfortable working in an involving environment.  We are seeking candidates who can bring organization to a fast pace start-up. It is imperative that the Phlebotomy Quality Specialist has exceptional verbal, visual, and hands-on communication skills. The Phlebotomy Quality Specialist will aid with field audits, improvement plans, training, and new market launches. The Phlebotomy Quality Specialist will report directly to the Phlebotomy Quality Manager and have interaction with Operations Managers, Quality Council and Phlebotomy Coordinators.

As a Phlebotomy Quality Specialist at Getlabs, you will:

  • Ensure quality across multiple markets for all our mobile phlebotomists
  • Travel to new markets to onboard, train and assist with setting up a market
  • Work with the Mobile Phlebotomists, Coordinators and Operations Managers to identify any clinical opportunities within their city 
  • Perform appointment quality checks and employee performance and accurately report all findings to the Operations Manager
  • Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff on current processes or new processes
  • Develop and maintain training documents that will be utilized by multiple cities
  • Implement and administer training for the updated or new processes
  • Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
  • Assist with day-to-day customer service including interactions with customers via inbound calls, outbound calls, emails, and other communication platforms
  • Act as an escalation point for quality concerns
  • Apply analysis to improve processes, products, and reduce recollection errors
  • What we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Mobile Phlebotomist and or Hospital lab 
  • At least 2 years of management experience in a leadership/quality position is required
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required: American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) 
  • In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • A disciplined worker who can work independently 
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • Competency with Google applications and willingness to embrace new technology
  • A proven ability to handle ambiguity in the absence of defined systems and processes
  • Successful history of coaching, developing, and evaluating employees
  • Ability to problem solve and use resources to find solutions quickly
